THE PURPLES ARE COMING! was written for children 9 years old and younger. It is meant to be read out loud and enjoyed by families all over the world. Our aim is to reinforce a lifelong love of books, of reading, and more importantly, of God and prayer. Our hope is that children growing up reading THE PURPLES ARE COMING! will someday look back and say: “THE PURPLES ARE COMING! opened up a world of prayer to me.”

The Bishops of the Roman Catholic Church carefully scrutinize books published on faith and scripture, and give them their approval if nothing within them is found to be contrary to the Faith (relevant Canon Law: "Title IV: The Means of Social Communication," ¶ 822-832). The Church declares that it has the obligation to preserve Christians from deviations from the truth and to guarantee them the "objective possibility of professing the true faith without error." This is stated in the Catechism (890) of the Catholic faith.

When a book dealing with faith, morals, theology, liturgy, prayer, or Sacred Scripture is brought to the Bishop, he submits it to his diocese's Censor. If the Censor finds no problem with it he will give it his stamp, which reads "nihil obstat," or "nothing stands in the way." He then sends it back to the Bishop for review. If the Bishop finds nothing objectionable, the Bishop gives the book his "imprimatur" which means, "let it be printed."

1. The world is wondrously made by a loving God.  

2. That we are happiest when we live in fellowship with God and with our friends.  

3. That our friends are all different and that like us, they too, are wondrously made.  

4. That we are all children of God. 

5. That we needn’t “be” nor “do” anything extraordinary to be near God and pray. 

6. Praying should be a simple and joyous act of thanksgiving to God in everything we do. 

7.  That true childlike simplicity implies love and trust, and should be accepted on its own terms.

8. And finally, a revelation in the form of the Sacred Heart of Christ: “Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God” (Mat 5:8).

In addition to THE PURPLES ARE COMING! there are three more books in the works. The final number of books is only limited by the grace of God and the authors’ imaginations.
