Ilow & Sheri Roque are the authors of THE PURPLES ARE COMING!, the first volume in the Happiness March Adventure series of Catholic children’s picture books. Long active in the church, the La Jolla-based children’s picture book writers and artists were delighted to learn that THE PURPLES ARE COMING! received the Catholic Church’s Official Imprimatur on the 4th of August, the feast day of St. John Mary Vianney, the beloved Curé of Ars, whose favorite work was the instruction of children in “THE PROVIDENCE,” the orphanage he founded. Ilow & Sheri live in La Jolla Village, where they work side-by-side, overlooking their garden, cracking each other up and carrying on like the zany characters they write about in their stories.
